General Options
Use the following options to control text handling in the editor. Check the option to enable it.

Auto indent   Positions the cursor under the first non blank character of the preceding non blank line when you press Enter  
 
Auto select word on double clickSelects word on double click.  
 
Block cursor for overwriteChanges to a blocky cursor while in overwrite mode.  
 
Cursor beyond EOLPositions the cursor beyond the end-of-file character.  
 
Display line numbers in gutterShows line numbers in gutter.  
 
End key ignores trailing white spacesConfigures the End Key behavior.  
 
Insert mix of tab/spaces...Begins every auto indented line with the minimum number of characters possible, using tabs and spaces as necessary.  
 
Insert tab character... Inserts tab character. If disabled, inserts space characters. If Smart Tab is enabled, this option is off.  
 
Show control charactersShows all chars in text.  
 
Show gutterShows the gutter.  
 
Show right marginShows the right margin.  
 
Show word wrap columnShows the word wrap column.  
Show Wrapped lines...Indicates that lines beginning with certain characters ( >| ) should not be word-wrapped. This is of use in an email system where the original and subsequent replies are of less importance than the new text, therefore should not be wrapped.  
 
Tab to next columnTabs to next column.  
 
Track columns in vertical movementTracks columns.  
 
Triple click select linesTriple click selects an entire line.  
 
Word Wrap linesTurns word wrap on.  
 
Wrap lines when printingWraps line when sending to printer.  
 
Smart tabTabs to the first non blank character in the preceding line. If Use Tab Character is enabled, this option is off.  
 
 
Right margin...Specify the Right margin size.  
Gutter widthSpecify the gutter width.  
Default Tab stop...Specify the number of spaces to a tab stop.  
Tab stop columnsSet the character columns that the cursor will move to, each time you press Tab. If each successive tab stop is not larger than its predecessor, you will receive an error.  
Block indent step sizeSpecify the number of spaces to indent a marked block. The default is 2; the upper limit is 16. If you enter a value greater than 16, you will receive an error.  
Word Wrap columnSpecify the word wrap column.
